More Fun With Processing.js
When i first started writing ActionScript and playing around with flash i spent a lot of time experimenting and playing around with useless, fun, projects just to see what i could come up with. The more i started working professionally, the more i started focusing on the stuff that would get me paid as opposed to just doing things for the hell of it. I think one of the cooler things about playing with Processing.js lately is i pretty much have no application for it in my day to day workload so when i do get to mess with it at home it’s pretty much an open opportunity to do... Playing with some older Tech: Honda CM450
So it’s been awhile since I’ve had a chance to post anything on here. No updates, no new apps, in fact, I’ve pretty much avoided my home office for the past 3 weeks and traded down for something a little dustier and slightly more low tech. That’s not to say I’ve given up on side projects. Still tinkering, still trying not to electrocute myself, and probably working on one of the most creative projects I’ve had the chance to work on in awhile. Female Head Sculpt
I’ve been working on a female head sculpt on and off for awhile now starting and stopping and restarting again. This is the latest iteration. I’ve re-topologized the ears and mouth and am currently working on the hair and skin shaders to help bring her to life. At one point she was going to be a part of a mermaid model that i was putting together for an internal project but not sure where she’ll go now. I’ve included some WIP images below of the mermaid body i started, doubt I’ll actually ever finish the scene though. I never could get a camera angle i was happy with or a... Read The Rest →
Angry Rob MEL Scripted Facial Rig
A while ago I started a project with two coworkers in an effort to make a short animated film in my off time. Huge Fail. After about 2 weeks of trying to coordinate with the other guys, working nights in between larger projects, and playing project manager, developer, and modeler at the same time, I quickly discovered that “off time” when you have a family and work at an agency isn’t really as bountiful as it was in my youth. While we didn’t get very far into the actual production, One good thing that came out of it was a chance to work on a little bit of rigging and... Read The Rest →
